Delaware County Department of Public Works first approached Delaware Engineering (DE) in the fall of 2019 about the construction of a new DPW garage regarding how recent building code changes could impact the cost and design of a new facility. Ultimately Delaware Engineering was retained to construct three new buildings throughout the County. Delaware Engineering retained the services of Keystone Associates to provide architectural design, geotechnical engineering, and surveys for the new buildings; and Hesnor Associates for HVAC design. Delaware Engineering, D.P.C. provided engineering design, bid assistance, construction management, construction administration, and onsite construction inspection.

New Administration Building, Village of Delhi

• 3-story, ~15,000 sf, fully accessible with conference rooms, library,
  and map room
• IT and Communications hub for all three buildings
• Housing all Delaware County DPW, Planning and Watershed Affairs

Heavy Mechanical Facility, Town of Walton

• 1-story ~18,000 sf facility with a mezzanine
• Includes 2 maintenance garages with portable lifts
  (5,000 sf each) along with offices, parts storage, and a conference room
• Site required stormwater control facilities, new well, and septic system

County Highway Patrol Facility, Hamlet of Bloomville

• 1-story, ~ 20,000 sf with mezzanines in three bays
• Garages for parking and maintenance with offices, training space, and break room
• New salt shed and fueling station
• Site required stormwater control facilities along with a new well and new force main to connect to the existing sanitary sewer system

Sitework for the three projects commenced in June 2021.
The admin building in Delhi was completed in 2023, the heavy mechanical facility and county highway patrol facility are anticipated to be completed late 2024.
