As a company, Delaware Engineering is committed to giving back to the communities that we are privileged to serve. Many of our leaders are equally committed, as individuals, to doing the same.
One of our founders and partners, John Brust, serves as President of the SUNY Cobleskill Foundation, and in October 2019, John helped host a luncheon bringing together student scholarship recipients with their generous benefactors. This year, more than 260 scholarhip students attended the luncheon, joining more than 65 benefactors whose contributions underscore their belief in the importance of investing in future generations.
During the luncheon, College President Marion A. Terenzio, John Brust and others offered remarks about the impact of these scholarships — totaling more than $530,000 in 2019 — on SUNY Cobleskill students. Individual students offered their perspective on how the scholarships have given them the opportunity to pursue their individual passions, while simultaneously inspiring them to lead and innovate on a more campus-wide basis.
This year, the luncheon concluded with Dr. Terenzio honoring the Merrill family, who have provided more than 1,200 student scholarship awards, with the honorary naming of a campus avenue “Merrill Family Drive” to forever honor their significant contributions.
