Annual Charitable Golf Tournament

More than $135,000

Since 2017, Delaware Engineering has hosted a golf tournament at Pinehaven Country Club to benefit the American Legion Riders (“ALR”), a diverse group of motorcycle enthusiasts who combine the patriotic mission of the Legion with their love of riding.  Since 2006, nationally, the ALR has raised millions of dollars for local children’s hospitals, schools, veterans’ homes, severely wounded servicemen and women, and a scholarship program for the children of those who have given their lives in active duty.

In 2017, we presented the local chapter of the ALR with a donation of $7,500.  In 2018, we raised more than $11,000, and the following year we presented the ALR with a check for $20,000.   Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19 restrictions, we raised $25,000 in 2020 and a record-breaking $30,000 in 2021.  Supporting this civic-minded, dedicated organization is one of the many ways that we work toward building stronger communities together.
